Black + White Design is a small architectural design practice, led by George Watson. Originally from the United Kingdom, I am an experienced designer and draughtsperson specialising in residential and light commercial alterations, renovations, additions and new builds.

I deliver innovative and functional design solutions that really work for you and your lifestyle. Having designed and built many residential alterations in both the United Kingdom and New Zealand, I know from experience that thoughtful and practical architectural design can really make a difference to the outcome of a project.
While the practice is based in Porirua, I deliver projects across Aotearoa: from coastal retreats to alpine family homes. I provide a personalised, collaborative service, tailored to your needs and requirements. I will guide you through your project from concept to construction.
While Black + White Design is a sole practitioner business, it takes a team to deliver great projects. I work with a large network of experienced structural engineers, builders, surveyors, project managers, suppliers and technical specialists. Having worked personally with all of these experts and formed strong working relationships with them, I can confidently access the right expertise at the right time.

As a Licensed Building Practitioner and member of Architectural Designers New Zealand, I have a strong foundation in both the practical and professional aspects of the NZ building industry. This is the basis of my collaborative and quality-focused approach.
